Lisa’s Story

Lisa Horzen began catering and coordinating events over 25 years ago. She is familiar with working with the proper agencies to ensure a safe, tasteful and delicious event. Whether it is an outdoor BBQ or an elegant dinner she delivers quality. Lisa is certified with the National Food Safety Certification program for proper care and handling of food. In recent years she has done events for Governors, private parties, corporate weekends, business grand openings as well as church functions and weddings.

Lisa began her hospitality career in California, operating an Agricultural Homestay-widely popular in New Zealand and Australia. Under this umbrella, she was responsible for 6 guest rooms and up to 15 guests at any given time. Only 1 of 2 Agricultural Homestays in California, she was silently charged with the added importance of its operational success. Finding true enjoyment in the work, she expanded her experience and knowledge earning certifications in the industry, catering for local events and businesses, soliciting private catering contracts, menu production, and developing her skills in technology marketing.

Lisa has since catered and marketed events for guests of 500+ people. Her experience in the social media arena is a demanding trait in our age of online communication. Her work with organizations previously absent in the social media presence have measurable improvements in online traffic to their sites and physical in-house attendance. On a catering front, Lisa is always looking to find ways to expand her menus and appeal to the range of palates to which she is catering. She is careful to consider her classroom knowledge as well as hands on experience. Her travels to France and Italy have elevated her catering choices and menu selections. She takes great pride in her attention to detail, and attributes it to her accomplishment. Guests and colleagues regard Lisa as efficient in her work and sought-after to work with.
